Cardiology is a branch of medicine dealing with disorders of the heart as well as parts of the circulatory system. Heart and circulatory system frames up the cardiovascular system. It is an organic system that permits blood to be circulated to various parts of the body. It involves the prevention, treatment, and diagnosis of disease involving the heart and the vasculature (arteries and veins) throughout the body.
